Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the release force of a mechanical type clutch and to perform reliable release by a method wherein at least one set of a plurality of paired clutch mechanisms is brought into a non-engaging state at a more rapid timing than other clutch mechanism.
SOLUTION: In a mechanical clutch 30, first, third, and fifth clutch mechanisms 31A and 31C, and 31E are engaged in the forward rotation direction of an auxiliary torque input member 32, and second, fourth, and sixth clutch mechanisms 31B, 31D, and 31F are engaged in a reversing direction. The first and second clutch mechanisms 31A and 31B of a clutch mechanism 31 are brought into a non-engaging state at a more rapid timing than other clutch mechanisms 31C-31F. Namely, a taper-form space 24 and an engaging member 35 are arranged in the same shape and at equal intervals. Meanwhile, the peripheral length L1 of a first position control member 36A to position the engaging member 35 of the first and second clutch mechanisms 31A and 31B is set to a value longer than the peripheral length L2 of other position control members 36B and 36C, whereby only a part of the clutch mechanisms are brought into a non-engaging state at a rapid timing.
