Abstract:
To improve mountability of a motor-driven power steering device on a car by reducing size and weight thereof.
In this motor-driven power steering device Al, a nut 42 of a ball screw 40 arranged coaxially with a rack shaft 30 is rotationally driven by an electric motor 50 arranged coaxially with the rack shaft 30. In such a device Al, a rolling body (ball) 66a of a rolling bearing (ball bearing) 66 which rotatably supports a cylindrical output shaft 52 of the electric motor 50 is connected to the nut 42 so as to enable transmission of torque around the rack shaft 30.
