In a motor-driven solar radiation control apparatus, an upper lifting body and a lower lifting body for controlling the quantity of light from the outside of a window are suspended and supported so as to be lifted/lowered from a head box along lifting/lowering trajectories which are overlapped with each other. A motor for lifting/lowering and driving the upper lifting body and the lower lifting body independently is provided within the head box. The motor-driven solar radiation control apparatus comprises control means 22, 16, 24 for blocking the interference between the upper lifting body and the lower lifting body during operations for lifting/lowering the upper lifting body and the lower lifting body.
