Title:
MOTOR-DRIVEN SPRING OPERATING MECHANISM FOR SWITCHING APPARATUS AND MANUFACTURE OF COIL SPRING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0877860
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase opening speed of an electrode of a switch by restraining speed reduction caused by surging of a coil spring.

CONSTITUTION: An electric motor 1, a closing spring 20a and a cutoff spring 20b to perform compression and energy accumulation by using driving force of this electric motor 1, are provided. An electrode of an unillustrated switch apparatus is driven by releasing accumulated energy of the closing spring 20a and the cutoff spring 20b. A coil spring composed of a hollow steel strand is used as the closing spring 20a and the cutoff spring 20b. The strand of the closing spring 20a and the cutoff spring 20b is composed of a metal group composite material (FRM) or a plastic group composite material (FRP). The strand of the closing spring 20a and the cutoff spring 20b is also composed of a hollow metal group composite material (FRM) or a hollow plastic group composite material (FRP).
