Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a stable steering feeling constantly, by computing the rotation angular acceleration of a motor, that is, the angular acceleration of a steering column shaft, through a differential of the detected value of steering angle, and correcting the assist torque depending on the computed value. CONSTITUTION:A Tm detecting device B is furnished to detect a standard steering assist torque Tm depending on the detected steering torque Ts which is detected by a steering torque detecting device A to detect the steering torque of the steering system. Also a Tj computing device D is furnished to compute a correcting value Tj in respect to an inertia moment depending on the detected value of a steering angular acceleration detecting device C to detect the steering angular acceleration of the steering system. By adding the torque Tm and the correcting value Tj in a TM computing device E, the actual steering assist torque TM is computed, depending on which, the driving current value of a motor G to generate the steering assist torque is found in a driving device F, and is output to the motor G, to give the steering assist torque to the steering system.
