PURPOSE: To provide a motor-driven toothbrush by which rotational speed of a motor can be controlled according to tooth-brushing pressure.

CONSTITUTION: In a load sensor 10, when tooth-brushing pressure is increased, a resistance value becomes high, and terminal voltage becomes high. A comparator 14 compares the terminal voltage of this load sensor 10 and reference voltage Vref1 with each other, and when the terminal voltage of the load sensor 10 exceeds the reference voltage Vref1, since the comparator 14 is inverted, output is set in 'L'. A driver receives this 'L' output, and stops a driving signal to a control element S, and turns off the control element S, and stops rotation of a motor 5.
