To provide a motor-driven top for enabling even a person without the technique of top spinning such as a little child to enjoy playing without the need of the separate ON/OFF operations of a switch in the flow of top playing.
For this motor-driven top, a motor whose rotary shaft with a knob is projected upwards is fixed at the center upper part of a body circumferentially provided rotatably around a core rod, a battery and the switch for electrically connecting the battery and the motor are provided inside, and by loading a load in the axial direction of the core rod, the core rod is forcibly fitted to the body and the switch is connected linked with the forcible fitting. It is preferable that the switch is electrically connected by pushing one of the connection parts of the switch to the bearing of the core rod.
