PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven traveling device which suppresses unexpected movement of a vehicle body and releases a brake safely.SOLUTION: A motor-driven traveling device comprises: a vehicle body; a travel driving motor which is capable of braking the vehicle body; an electromagnetic brake for braking the traveling vehicle; an operation switching circuit for switching whether to drive the vehicle body to travel by the motor or to perform brake; a brake release switch for receiving an operation on the motor and the electromagnetic brake related to brake release; and a brake control circuit for controlling the motor and the electromagnetic brake in response to the operation while the brake release switch is being operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
