Abstract:
This motor drive device (100) comprises a converter circuit (3) that converts AC voltage outputted from an AC power supply (1) to DC voltage and outputs the resulting DC voltage to DC buses (16a, 16b), an inverter circuit (18) that converts DC voltage to AC voltage applied to a motor (500) and outputs the resulting AC voltage, a temperature sensor (22) that detects the temperature of the converter circuit (3), and a temperature sensor (24) that detects the temperature of the inverter circuit (18). The converter circuit (3) changes the voltage value of the DC voltage outputted to the DC buses (16a, 16b) on the basis of the temperature difference between the first temperature detected by the temperature sensor (22) and the second temperature detected by the temperature sensor (24).
