Abstract:
To provide a motor driving device capable of preventing damage to a main power conversion circuit due to abnormality occurrence in a back electromotive force protection circuit.SOLUTION: A motor driving device 1 comprises: a main power conversion circuit 11 which converts electric power supplied from a power supply to AC power for driving a motor 3 and outputs the AC power; a back electromotive force protection circuit 12 which is provided between an AC output side of the main power conversion circuit 11 and the motor 3, and includes a rectification unit 31 which rectifies AC power based on the back electromotive force of the motor 3 and outputs the rectified power, a short-circuit unit 32 which short-circuits between terminals on the DC output side of the rectification unit 31, and an alarm signal output unit 33 which outputs an alarm signal when an abnormality occurs; a monitoring unit 15 which monitors whether an alarm signal is output from the alarm signal output unit 33; a protection operation unit 13 which performs a protection operation to prevent damage to the main power conversion circuit 11 when the monitoring unit 15 determines that the alarm signal was output from the alarm signal output unit 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
