Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving device for reducing power consumption while preventing short currents from running via switching elements making a pair in synchronous rectification control.SOLUTION: A synchronous rectification control circuit 42 of a DC motor driving device has potential comparison parts 51 and 52 for comparing a potential difference between a first motor terminal potential V1 and a second motor terminal potential V2 with a predetermined expected voltage Vref and a zero potential. For example, when a lower transistor (4) is turned off, it is determined that the potential difference between the motor terminals exceeds the expected voltage Vref, and an upper transistor control part 62 detects that currents with the counter-electromotive force of a DC motor runs to the free wheel diode of an upper transistor (2), and turns on a mask signal Q2. Then, a drive signal D2 is turned on, and the upper transistor (2) is energized. Thus, it is possible to set dead time to be a length of a minimum necessity, and to reduce power consumption.
