Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device capable of precisely detecting the generation of abnormal heat of an initial charge circuit.SOLUTION: A motor drive device 1 comprises: a forward converter 11 that converts an AC current power supplied from an AC power source 3 side and outputs a DC current power to a DC link; a DC link capacitor 13 provided to a DC link; an inverse converter 12 that converts the DC current power of DC link into the AC current power for driving a motor; an initial charge circuit 14 that charges the DC link capacitor 13; an electric potential difference generation determination part 15 that determines the presence or absence of an electric potential difference of both ends of the initial charge circuit 14; a DC current detection part 16 that detects a DC current supplied to the initial charge circuit 14; an AC current detection part 17 that detects an AC current supplied to a motor 2; and an abnormal determination part 18 that, in the case where the electric potential difference is generated in both ends of the initial charge circuit 14, determines the generation of abnormal heat generation in the initial charge circuit 14, when the AC current detection part 17 detects the generation of AC current and the DC current detection part 16 detects the generation of the DC current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
