Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving device which prevents a suspension function of a trailing arm from being significantly affected while inhibiting increase of the weight when a gear box is arranged.SOLUTION: A motor driving device 1 includes: a trailing arm 2 which extends in a vehicle fore and aft direction and where a vehicle body side attachment part 6 which couples to a vehicle body through a rubber bush 5 is formed at the front side and a wheel side support part 7 which supports a rear wheel 71 is formed at the rear side; a motor 3 which drives the rear wheel 71; and a gear transmission mechanism 4 which transmits power of the motor 3 to the rear wheel 71. The gear transmission mechanism 4 includes a gear box rigidly attached to the trailing arm 2. The gear box is configured to be divided into a first gear box 24 incorporating a first gear part located around a rotary shaft of the motor 3 and a second gear box 49 spaced away from the first gear box 24 and incorporating a second gear part located around a rotary shaft of the rear wheel 71.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
