Abstract:
To stably supply electric power to a brush while suppressing sparks when a brush length reaches a final stage by abutting a brush and a power supply member at at least two opposed positions and cutting off power supply when the brush length reaches the final stage.SOLUTION: A motor includes: a rotatably provided rotor; a commutator attached to a rotor shaft; a brush as a sliding contact for rotationally driving the rotor shaft via the commutator; a substantially cylindrical brush sleeve into which the brush is inserted in a back and forth movable manner; a brush holder for fixing the brush and the brush sleeve to the frame; and a power supply terminal for supplying power to the brush. A projection is formed on at least two portions of opposing side faces of an anti-commutator side end section of the brush. A slit is provided in a longitudinal direction of the brush sleeve. An insulating member is disposed at a commutator side end section of the power supply terminal. The projection formed on the brush projections from the slit formed in the brush sleeve and abuts onto the power supply terminal at at least two portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
