Abstract:
When a referencing session is commenced the control finger of the forks is moved laterally in the direction of the neutral line. At the same time a periodic feeling to the top and bottom is made until resistance is perceptible. If the resistance disappears the control finger may be moved higher and a point of reference is obtained. A final alignment is obtained using a space (5) which is specifically provided for the purpose. An Independent claim is also included for: A transmission actuator which uses the method of referencing and alignment.
