To provide a motor that is made watertight as necessary and depending on the intended use.
A motor includes: a housing 5, an output shaft 10, an air purge device 2, and fixing means 45. The output shaft 10 protrudes from an end surface 50 of the housing 5. The air purge device 2 has: an inner circumferential surface 21 that surrounds an outer circumferential surface 11 of the output shaft 10; and a mounting surface 20 that is mounted to the end surface 50 of the housing 5. The air purge device 2 supplies air to a gap between the inner circumferential surface 21 and the outer circumferential surface 11 of the output shaft 10. The fixing means 45 fixes the air purge device 2 to the end surface 50 of the housing 5 in a detachable manner. The housing 5 and the air purge device 2 have fitting portions 51 and 22, respectively, which are fitted into each other when the mounting surface 20 is being mounted onto the end surface 50 of the housing 5.
