Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a high-torque reactance-type step motor by using each 180-degree opposite pole member in radial direction, excited concurrently when the outer and inner stator members in three phases are driven. CONSTITUTION: Pole piece 18 and 20 of an inner stator 10 and an outer stator 14 are provided at intervals around a rotating shaft 16. The pole piece 18 is aligned with the pole piece 20 and has a pole tooth 22, while the pole piece 20 has a pole tooth 28. A rotor 12 has two pairs of teeth 24 and 26 located opposite to pole teeth 22 and 28. The positions of the teeth 22 to 28 are located so as to cross an imaginary face vertical to a rotating axis 16. When a current flows in at coils 30', 32', 32", and 30", a flux path 34 passes through the inner rotor pole 18, the rotor 12 and the stator pole 20'. Further, the flux path 34 extends around the outer stator 14 and passes through two coils with no current flowing therein, the outer stator pole 20, and the rotor 12, and reaches inner stator poles 18" and 18' to complete a closed loop. In this way, all the magnetic fluxes extend radially inwards or outwards in the rotor 12.
