To relieve outflow/inflow of flux to the front edge of a pole, thus relieving magnetic saturation at the edge.
An armature 1 includes an armature core 13 and a winding 14 wound around the armature core. The armature core 13 has: the pole 131 and a winding portion 133 extended in parallel to a rotating shaft; and a joint 132 jointing both of them. The winding 14 is wound around the winding portion 133. The winding portion 133 faces a field element 2 through the pole 131 in a diametrical direction to the rotating shaft. The armature 1 also includes a yoke 11. The yoke 11 magnetically shorts the winding portions 133 each other on the opposite side to the joint 132. The field element 2 has a so-called built-in magnet type structure, a magnetic field core 21, and a magnetic field magnet 22. The magnetic field magnet 22 is built in the magnetic field core 21, thus facing the pole 131 through the magnetic field core 21.
