To lessen the load on an MPU in the control of a motor.
An MPU 101 controls motors M1-M3 by controlling driving systems. In the driving system for the motor M1, for example, the number 'n' of steps in one rotation is set first and then a rotation signal mtrolll is turned from 0 to 1 to start up the motor M1. A counter 105 counts the number of motor pulses mtclk supplied to the motor M1 and a comparator 108 compares the counted value with the number 'n' of steps in one rotation. When a head confirmation signal check outputted from a head detection switch 114 becomes 1, the MPU 101 turns a drive controlling signal mtstop1 from 0 to 1. After the motor M1 is started up, a motor pulse output controlling section 111 continues to supply motor pulses mtckl1 to the motor M1 until the signal from the comparator 108 becomes 1 or the drive controlling signal ntstopl becomes 1.
