PURPOSE: To prevent a motor from overheating when it is operated for a long time by allowing air which flows through suction and exhaust valves provided on a piston and a diaphragm while an air pump is operated, to be sucked and exhausted through suction and exhaust ports which are provided close to said motor.
CONSTITUTION: When a DC power source is applied to a brush 15, a rotation torque is generated in a rotor 13 through a commutator 14, to rotate a crank shaft 17, causing a rod 19 to start reciprocating motion. Thereupon, due to the action of flowing ports 23 and valve bodies 25 which are provided on a diaphragm 21 and a piston 20, and to a flowing port 27 and a valve body 28 provided on a partition 11a, air flows from an actuator chamber 26 into a pump chamber 30 and a crankcase 24, to suck and operate an actuator. The air flowed into the crankcase 24, flows outward through a suction and exhaust port 29, after passing by the side of the rotor 13 as shown by the arrow C. Accordingly, the rotor 13 which is a main component of a motor, can be cooled by this air, attaining the desired end.
