Abstract:

To provide a method for adjusting the thrust of a motor shaft, in which a thrust load and thrust quantity can be kept constant even where the motor shaft has irregularity in length.

In this method for adjusting the thrust of the motor shaft, a thrust bearing 20 is pressed to a tip 16a of the motor shaft 16 for adjusting the thrust of the motor shaft 16. As the motor shaft 16 is rotated, a lower part 20b of the thrust bearing 20 is temporarily applied to a tip 16a of the motor shaft 16, while the thrust bearing 20 is pushed under a prescribed load toward the base end 16b of the motor shaft 16 in the X-direction. Next, as the temporarily pushed state is held, an upper part 20c that is set back from the lower part 20b of the thrust bearing 20 by a step t is applied to the tip 16a of the motor shaft 16, and the motor shaft 16 is returned by quantity of the step t through an energization means 19.
