To improve the cooling efficiency of motor or the like, secure rectifying operation, reduce the number of parts, and make easy assembling work.
A pair of brushes 48, 50 retained by brush holders 52, 54 directly supported by first and second housings 34, 36 are arranged through a commutator 46, and thereby the holders 52, 54 do not need their support frames additionally. Accordingly no large play is generated between both the housings 34, 36 and the brushes 48, 50, leading to reduction in the number of parts and increase in the sectional area of air flow path for cooling. The housings 34, 36 are provided with connectors 66, 68 respectively which are connected when both the housings 34, 36 are set. The wiring work to the connectors 66, 68, for each housing, can be finished before hand, thereby making easy the assembling work.
