To provide a motor with a brake attached below a shaft provided with a structure preventing intrusion of abrasion dust into a bearing interior.
The motor with the brake attached below the shaft is provided with a motor part 1, and a brake part 3 connected to the motor part 1 and carrying out braking of the motor part 1 by pressing a brake disc 32 fit via a brake boss 31 on the shaft 2 rotatably supported by a bracket 11 of the motor part 1 via a bearing 4, and rotating along with the shaft 2 by an armature 34. A blade 51 is provided for rotating along with the shaft 2, and sending a flow of gas of an upper face side and a lower face side of the brake disc 32 from an axis side of the shaft 2 toward a radial outer side.
