Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a torque to be made large by a method wherein a magnetic circuit of a clutch mechanism and a brake mechanism are formed in order to keep away from passing through a contact surface of the clutch and the brake. CONSTITUTION:A clutch plate 50 used in combination with a brake plate fixed to an output shaft 30 is provided between a clutch friction disc 78 fixed to a flywheel 22 and a brake friction plate 80 fixed to an end bracket 62. The output shaft 30 is pivotally supported on the end bracket 62 through ball bearings 54, 56 and sleeves 58, 60. By the sliding actions of the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder 64 and the outer cylindrical peripheral surface of the sleeves 58, 60, the output shaft 30 is made movable in the direction of shaft. A winding 68 is received in a projected portion 66 opened in -shape in a section at the end surface which faces to a sleeve ring 70 fixed on the inside diameter portion of the sleeve 60 and a clutch ring 72 fixed on the outer periphery of the output shaft 30.
