A spherical permanent magnet rotor 1 is constituted and shown in (A). A monoclinic coil 5 is fixedly installed around the spherical permanent magnet rotor 1 as shown in (C). A sensor, e.g. a hall element 7 is provided and detects a rotation phase of the spherical permanent magnet rotor 1. Current carrying directions of the monoclinic coil 5 are switched per rotation of 180° of the spherical permanent magnet rotor 1. The spherical permanent magnet rotor 1 is continuously rotated.
