Abstract:
To provide a motor with a reduction gear, the motor capable of obtaining a large braking force against reverse rotation and eliminating the need of accuracy of parts constituting a clutch mechanism more than before.
A motor 1 with a reduction gear includes an electric motor 2 and a worm reduction gear 3 joined to the electric motor 2. The worm reduction gear 3 includes a worm wheel 16 pivotally supported on a casing 11 and an output shaft 70 to which the rotating force of the worm wheel 16 is transmitted through a reduction mechanism 40. A brake mechanism 42 for braking a rotating force transmitted from the output shaft 70 side to the worm wheel by an external force is provided onto the worm wheel 16.
