Abstract:
To provide a motor which is efficient and produces low vibration and low noise by suppressing an increase in iron loss arising from stress concentration on a stator core due to shrink fitting or press fitting and the nonuniformity of a gap due to deformation.
The stator core 11 of the motor is so formed that its cross-sectional shape in a radial direction is the shape of an arch 18 wherein its circumferential portion in contact with a housing 31 is smaller than the inside diameter of the housing. With respect to the shape in the axial direction, the stator core is so formed that its portion in contact with the housing 31 is not of a straight line but in the shape of the arch 18.
