To provide a motor in which magnetoresistive elements can be arranged at predetermined positions accurately for the rotor magnets and salient poles, when detecting change in the flux from the rotor magnets by means of magnetosensitive elements.
In a motor 1, electrification of a coil 24 wound around a salient pole 212 is controlled based on the detection results from a magnetic sensor 8. The magnetic sensor 8 includes an MR element 81 held on a motor board 60 on which a coil power supply wiring pattern is formed, and a stator 2 and a bearing device 7 for supporting the rotating shaft of a rotor 3 are also mounted on the motor board 60. Consequently, the magnetosensitive center position O81 of the MR element 81 can be located accurately at a predetermined position separated, in the radial direction, from the second peripheral surface 332 of a rotor magnet 33 to the side opposite from the side where the salient pole 212 is located, or at a position overlapping the second peripheral surface 332.
