Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a holding member of permanent magnets with a non-conductive member to suppress an eddy current loss generated by the rotation of a rotor, and thereby to improve cooling efficiency of a motor and reduce an increase in temperature of the permanent magnets arranged around the rotor.SOLUTION: In a motor having a surface magnet-type permanent magnet rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets arranged on the surface of a rotor core, a cylindrical magnet cover made of a non-magnetic material has on the inner peripheral surface a space part in which the permanent magnets can be arranged, and a part of the magnet cover made of a non-magnetic material is coupled with the rotor core while fitted to groove parts provided between the magnets on the surface of the rotor core.
