Title:
MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07123673
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate excessive insulation distances between the components of a DC brushless motor and reduce the size and improve the reliability of the DC brushlesg motor by a method wherein insulating layers are applied to the inner surface of the bottom of an end bracket and the inner surface of a rotor yoke opposite to a stator winding respectively.

CONSTITUTION: Powder coating insulating material 14 is applied to the inner surface of the bottom part of an end bracket 6, the inner surface of the bottom part of a stator yoke 23 and the outer circumferential surface of a bearing press-fitting part 13 and baked to form respective insulating layers 14. By forming the insulating layer 14 on the inner surface of the end bracket 6, a stator winding 5 can be attached close to the end bracket 6. By forming the insulating layer 14 on the inner surface of the bottom part of the stator yoke 23, the axial dimension of a motor can be reduced. Further, by forming the insulating layer 14 on the outer circumferential surface of the bearing press- fitting part 13, the bearing press-fitting part 13 can be provided close to a terminal 7 on which the end part of the stator winding 5 is wound for termination, so that the radial dimension also can be reduced.
