Title:
MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08116655
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a powerful motor having low current consumption by a structure wherein an iron piece is attracted to a permanent magnet to rotate a rotor and a coil is conducted at a moment in time when the rotor arrives, through inertia, at a position in front of the center of the gap in the rotational direction to magnetize the rotor with same polarity as the permanent magnet and thereby the rotor is repelled from the permanent magnet to sustain the rotation.

CONSTITUTION: When an iron piece 15a is present in the proximity of permanent magnets 17, 18, it is attracted strongly thereto and a rotor 14 is attracted while rotating to slide in a gap 16 through inertia and pass over the center in the circumferential direction. Since a brush 26a touches a commutator 24a at that moment in time to feed a current through a coil 19a, the iron piece 15a exhibits same pole as the permanent magnet, i.e. S pole, and repelled therefrom thus sustaining the rotation of the rotor 14 in the direction departing farther. Consequently, an iron piece 15b is attracted to the permanent magnets 17, 18 and rotated and at a moment in time when the iron piece 15b passes the gap by inertia, a brush 26b touches a commutator 24b to feed a current through a coil 19b. Consequently, the iron piece 15b exhibits S pole and repelled thus sustaining the rotation. This structure realizes a powerful motor having low current consumption.
