Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the performance of a motor by externally introducing heat generated in a casing via a heat pipe out of the casing and dissipating the heat, thereby sufficiently cooling in the casing. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 10 is driven, heats are generated from a contacting unit of a brush 24 with a rotor 20 and a field coil of a rotor 20. Thus, the temperature in the casing 12 is gradually raised. Liquid in a heat pipe 26 removes the heat in the casing 12 to become vapor and moves to the upper end of a bore 28, i.e., externally of the casing 12. This vapor is cooled by the atmospheric air, condensed, and the condensing heat is dissipated through a heat sink fin 30 externally of the casing 12. The condensed liquid is moved to the lower end of the bore 28.
