Abstract:
PURPOSE: To sufficiently reduce intake noise and exhaust noise by respectively arranging an air cleaner of guiding intake air to an engine and an exhaust muffler of guiding exhaust of the engine rearward of a vehicle body in right/left sidewards of a rear wheel.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust muffler 76 is arranged upward in the right side of a rear wheel 36. That is, a section of this muffler 76 is formed in a vertically long elliptic shape, to attach its upper part to a seat rail 24 in a right side and the lower part to a side bar 78 of connecting a right side back tube 26 to the seat rail 24. In the second air cleaner 58 and the muffler 76, a sideward total unit is covered with a rear body cover 62, to protrude rearward a tail pipe of the muffler 76 inserted through this rear body cover 62. A sound shield plate 80 is mounted between the rear wheel 36 and the second air cleaner 58, and a heat shield plate 82 is mounted between the rear wheel and the muffler 76.
