This motorized bed comprises a movable part 2 rotationally engaged with a bed frame 1, a driving motor 4 operating the movable part 2, a catching detection panel 5 forming a catching state by being opposed to the movable part 2 in a part formed between the bed frame 1 and the movable part 2 and having a possibility of catching a human body and disposed to cover a whole range having a possibility of catching in the side of the bed frame 1, a panel support 6 horizontally and swingably supporting the catching detection panel 5 in the center of the bed frame 1, a catching detection switch 8 operated by the swinging of the catching detection panel 5 and disposed in the bed frame 1, and motor control means 9 stopping the driving motor 4 upon operation of the catching detection switch 8.
