A mounting apparatus 34 for repeatable positioning of an item 152 may include a first mount 60, a second mount 80, and a third mount 100. The first mount 60 may be configured to receive a first member 120 coupled to the item 152 wherein the first mount 60 may constrain the first member 120 against movement along three mutually-orthogonal directions 44, 46, 48. The second mount 80 may be configured to receive a second member 122 coupled to the item 152 and constrain the second member 122 against movement along two of the directions 46, 48. The third mount 100 may be configured to receive a third member 124 coupled to the item 152 and constrain the third member 124 against movement along one of the directions 46.
