PURPOSE: To provide an elevator apparatus capable of maintaining a constant mounting position and smoothely moving even if a horizontal spot is on the way of elevation.
CONSTITUTION: While a guide rail 3 for elevation is disposed obliquely along a stair case, a elevator driving body 5 for guiding drivably the elevator along the rail 3 is provided. A mounted elevator apparatus supports a mounting member 6 for mounting a transferred article on the elevator driving body 5. While the elevator driving body 5 is guided end engaged with the rail 3 relatively pivotably and movably about the lateral axis, a guide roller 15 supported by the elevator driving body 5 is guided and engaged with the upper or lower section of the rail 3 and an auxiliary rail 16 for holding the position of the elevator driving body 5 is disposed approximately along the rail 3.
