Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the strength and durability of mounting, by using a bracket to hold a muffler made of a compressed nonmetallic silencing material, so that the bracket is in surface contact with the peripheral portion of the muffler. CONSTITUTION:A muffler 10 formed by compressing a nonmetallic silencing material is held by the holding portion 15 of a bracket 13 made separately from the muffler, so that the bracket is in surface contact with the peripheral portion of the muffler. As a result, the strength of mounting is enhanced, and the vibration of the muffler is damped.
