To provide a mounting cover for a camera which is attached to and detached from an existing camera, and prevents scratching of not only one of the lenses of spectacles located on a finder but also the other of the lenses not located on the finder.

The mounting cover A for a camera comprises: a plate member 1 brought into contact with a rear face portion 50c of a camera body 50 with a finder 55 and fixed on the camera body 50; and two rubber bands 2 attached to the plate member 1 and held on an upper face portion 50b, a front face portion 50a and a lower face portion 50d of the camera body 50. The plate member 1 is made of a flexible and lightweight material. The plate member 1 has a concavely formed notch 1a in a position corresponding to the finder 55 and a lens contact portion 1b formed on either side of the notch 1a, wherein when a user which wears spectacles 59 looks through the finder 55, the right lens 59a and the left lens 59b of the spectacles 59 come in contact with the lens contact portion 1b.
