Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a fall of a sprocket part to a space which is covered with a chain cover at the attachment and removal of the sprocket part with respect to an internal combustion engine which is attached to a vehicle and to which the chain cover is attached.SOLUTION: A sprocket part 21 of a valve timing change device 20 is attached to a cam shaft 12. A chain cover 14 comprises a plurality of boss parts 17 having female screws to which fixing bolts 25 of an electric motor 23 are screwed. The boss parts 17 are protruded up to a position opposing an external edge 27 of the sprocket part 21 at the sprocket 21 side of the chain cover 14. The boss parts 17 are arranged in forms that the boss parts are engaged with the sprocket part 21 when the sprocket part 21 moves downward in vertical direction from an attachment position, regulate the movement downward in vertical direction, and on the other hand, permit the movement of the sprocket part 21 between the outside of a space which is covered with the chain cover 14 and the attachment position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
