To provide a mounting structure of an inter-vehicle apparatus of a railroad vehicle (for example, damper) allowing its separation by introducing such a structure that a vehicle end side bolt of a bracket to support the inter-vehicle apparatus slips and moves through a notch in the case a collapse load of the apparatus is too large.
The inter-vehicle damper is mounted between two bodies of railroad vehicle through a mounting bracket 16. Mounting brackets 16A and 16B have mounting plates 16a attached to the bodies 17A and 17B with bolts 18A and 18B and nuts 19A and 19B and an apparatus supporting part 16b installed continuously to the mounting plate 16a and supporting the inter-vehicle damper 11. The notch 16aa in a U-shape opened at the vehicle end is formed at the vehicle end of the mounting plate 16a, and fastening to the vehicle body 17A is conducted with the bolt 18A and the nut 19A through the notch 16aa, while the body central part of the mounting plate 16a is coupled with the vehicle body 17B with the bolt 18B and the nut 19B having a smaller bolt size and smaller tensile strength than the bolt 18A used in fastening the vehicle end side.
