Abstract:
To provide a mounting structure and mounting method for an intake manifold in which an intake manifold and peripheral parts are subject to no spacial constraint due to mounting of the intake manifold in a V-type engine containing an intake manifold being sandwiched between right and left banks.
An intake manifold includes a projection (12) erected on a cylinder head side intake manifold mounting surface (11) and an intake manifold flange (21) forming a U-shaped opening (21a) opening to an outer peripheral surface of a flange so as to allow the projection (12) to pass therethrough.
