Title:
MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF RIM LOCK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010265635
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a mounting structure of a rim lock, causing no flexure to a lock box even when a pair of lock boxes are fitted to the front and back of a solid door in a sandwiching manner by a fastening means, and to improve the appearance.

A through-hole 91 is formed in the solid door 11a. The pair of lock boxes 51, 53 having spaces 63, 65 between back plates 55, 57 and face plates 59, 61 sandwich the door 11a at the position of the through-hole 91 from the front and back. The fastening means 93 penetrating the lock box 51 is inserted in the through-hole 91 to penetrate into the other lock box 53 and is fastened, whereby the pair of lock boxes 51, 53 are fitted to the door 11a in a sandwiching manner. In this mounting structure of the rim lock, the fastening means 93 has larger diameter parts 101, 103, having the outer diameter larger than that of the through-hole 91, on both ends thereof in the penetrating direction. The larger diameter parts 101, 103 are in contact with the back plates 55, 57 and the face plates 59, 61, and are respectively positioned in the spaces 63, 65 of the lock boxes 51, 53.
