Title:
MOUSE CORD HOUSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0830386
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve usability of a mouse by easily stretching and fixing a mouse cord as needed when operating the mouse by providing a rotary reel for housing the cord and a presser for stopping the mouse cord at any prescribed position.

CONSTITUTION: A pawl presser 3 for adjusting the mouse cord is provided on the side face of the body 1 of the mouse and when it is desired to adjust the length of a mouse cord 2 connected with the body of a computer, the pawl presser 3 is pressed and the mouse cord 2 is pulled out or taken into the body 1 of the mouse. At such a time, the mouse cord 2 is guided by plural internal rollers 5 but its motion is stopped in the middle by the presser constituted by combining the pawl presser 3 and a spring 6. When the pawl presser 3 is pushed by a finger and pressure due to the spring is relaxed, the mouse cord 2 is taken up by a reel 4 for housing the cord. When the mouse cord 2 becomes a desired length and the finger is detached from the pawl presser 3, the cord is pressed by the force of the spring 6 again and the cord length is fixed.
