Title:
TARGET DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3142400
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To extract a reflection wave out of signals which do not require noises by a probability method by obtaining a first frequency distribution for each amplitude of reflection wave in a state where no target exists and a second frequency distribution in a state where the target exists and by calculating the probability for each amplitude where the reflection wave which is received from both distributions is a true target.
CONSTITUTION: A first frequency distribution Y1 for each amplitude of reflection wave is obtained by a first frequency device 2 while no target exists. Then, when detecting the target, the reflection wave which is received 1 is added to a second frequency device 3 and a second frequency distribution Y2 is obtained by the device 3. The distribution Y1 is added to a subtractor 4 via a coefficient circuit 3, the substraction of the distributions Y1 and Y2 is performed, and a third frequency distribution Y3 is obtained from the difference. Then, the distributions Y1 and Y3 are added to a probability calculation circuit 5 where a probability M which is the signal from a target is obtained for each amplitude. Then, the probability M is detected 6, the amplitude of the reflection wave is multiplied by the probability for a reflection wave P and those whose multiplication result exceeds a certain value are extracted as a target Q.
