Abstract:
To provide a mouthpiece of a steel container, the steel container having the mouthpiece, and a method for manufacturing a top plate of the steel container which can improve both productivity and reliability of the steel container in which a flange of the mouthpiece is precedingly pressed in the top plate.SOLUTION: A flange 18 is precedingly pressed in a top plate 6 in a mouthpiece 16 of a steel container. The top plate 6 comprises a flat part 6a, a standing part 6b, and a stepped part 6c. The flange 18 comprises: a cylinder part 18a brought into contact via a gasket 22 with the inner periphery of the standing part 6b; and a seat part 18c having an annular protrusion 28 brought into contact with the lower surface of the stepped part 6c. The mouthpiece 16 has a gasket housing groove 26 formed from the annular protrusion 28 to a place between the standing part 6b and the cylinder part 18a. The gasket 22 has physical properties in which a tensile stress in 100% of elongation is 5-12 MPa, and tensile strength is 14-30 MPa.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
