To provide a movable bed to support a sleeping cared person so as to be able to turn over in a natural condition without feeling any mental stress.
When an automatic operation mode is carried out, measurement of the sleep depth of the cared person lying in bed is started. The sleep depth is obtained by detecting biological information on the cared person such as brain wave, cardiac rate, rate of breathing by an electrode sensor, or the like, and analyzing those by, for instance, the sleep polygraph method. A turn-over control process is carried out (step S4) only when the sleep depth is determined to 0, i.e. the cared person is determined to be in fast wave sleep, in a step S2 and it is determined in a step S3 that more than one hour elapses from the start of sleep or the last turn-over motion.
