Abstract:
To hold an inverted posture of a carriage body of an inverted pendulum type movable carriage when the control for the inversion has been stopped.
The movable carriage is configured as follows. Auxiliary legs 21, 22 are attached to a mounting portion 1e of the carriage body 1 so as to rotate about an axis in parallel to an axle, and castor wheels 21d, 22d provided at the tip end of the auxiliary legs 21, 22 can come into contact with the ground apart from the grounding point of a main wheel 3 nearly in the travelling direction. The arrangement of the caster wheels 21d, 22d is changed to the position to be grounded to the road surface and the position separated from the road surface by turning the auxiliary legs 21, 22.
