For the movable contact of the electromagnetic contactor as an assembly of a copper-plate contact stand 14 with a pair of movable contact points 15 firmly fixed at either end, and an iron-plate arc horn 16 brazed and pasted to a rear face of the contact stand, and forming an arc transition part 16a with its tip approaching each movable contact point covering an end face of the contact stand 14 at either end of the arc horn 16, after the arc transition part 16a is formed by turning up either end of the arc horn 16 inward in a lateral U shape, a lateral U-shaped folded part 16a-1 is insertion-coupled with each end part of the contact stand 14 to cover the same, and further, a concave part 16a-2 is formed at a tip side of each lateral U-shaped folded part 16a-1, so that the folded part 16a-1 of the arc transition part 16a is to be directly continued to a peripheral edge of the movable contact point 15.
