To provide a depilating method easier to apply and allowing depilating treatment in a short time without unevenness.
Light irradiation energy per unit area to the skin from a flash lamp is a small quantity compared to a depilating method using a laser, and cooling is performed by bringing the bottom face of a depilator cooled by a thermionic cooling plate, into direct contact with the skin to immediately suppress the rise of a skin surface temperature after light irradiation. Further, to eliminate unevenness of depilation, a movable flash lamp depilating machine scans while contacting the surface of the skin to be depilated, and light irradiation timing can be controlled while sensing the moving speed and moving distance of the depilating machine by wheels with encoders. Light irradiation for depilation is thereby continuous, light irradiation intervals are uniform, and light irradiation energy is uniformed. As a result, uniform depilating treatment can be performed in a short time. In addition, an irradiated part is clarified by attaching a mark to the side of the light irradiated part so as not to irradiate the depilated part again with light.
