PURPOSE: To reduce dispersion of the space between an engine hood and a grill cover so as to enhance the quality of the appearance of a car.
CONSTITUTION: A projecting portion oriented toward a bumper 16 is formed at the front end.portion of an engine hood 12 and a pair of extending portions 18A, 18B each of which extends to near the upper face 16A of the bumper are formed in a portion extending along the inside of the car cross direction of head lamps 14 located on the right and left sides of the projecting portion 18. A fresh air inlet 20 formed among the extending portions 18A, 18B, the projecting portion 18 and the upper face 16A of the bumper is provided with a grill cover 22 and the grill cover 22 is oscillatably supported to the engine hood inner panel 15 of the engine hood 12. A motor 42 and a link mechanism both of which are adapted to open and close the grill cover 22 are also supported to the engine hood inner panel 15 of the engine hood 12.
